Oh you want this game, you don’t know it yet, but you will soon want Dark Void badly. Just in case you weren’t sure you wanted it, for some bizarre reason, Capcom have unveiled an official teaser site with plenty of weird clues about the game and a trailer.

In Dark Void you play Will, a cargo plain pilot in the early 20th Century. After a little navigational error takes you over the Bermuda Triangle (dun dun DUH!) you find yourself in a strange dimension where humans are terrorised by aliens called the Watchers, once the rulers of humanity on earth before being banished by yet another alien race called the Adepts. Will quickly joins the resistance against the Watchers, strapping on a jet pack to take the skies.
Highlights of the game include, in addition to having a jet pack, the use of cover in three dimensions, enemies can attack from above and below as well as from either side, as you jet around the alien landscape and the ability to hijack the Watchers flying ships. Victorian era geek idol Nikola Tesla also makes an appearance as your gadget guy.

Excited now aren’t you? Dark Void is currently scheduled for a May 2009 release.
