Good news out of the house of Epic. Get your favourite red marker and scrawl March 31 on your Megan Fox calendar. On this date Epic will release one shiny new map pack and a full week earlier a title update will make some changes to the contemptable True Skill system of ranking.

The ranking system will now just assign you experience for every kill in a public match ir similar activity that earns points unlocking achievements at set levels which will apparently 5, 15, 25, 50 and the top rank 100. Simple.

As for that map pack, it's going to be called Snowblind and features four maps: Grindyard, Under Hill, Courtyard and Fuel Depot (which is a remake of the level from the first Gears). A price hasn't been attached to the maps yet but given the popularity of the Combustible map Pack at a reasonable 800 MS points you can expect Snowblind to go for about the same.

If you're feeling a little rusty with your pop and stop game play now might be a good time to hop back into Gears of War 2 in preparation.
