Oh happy day! The original Overlord was one of the most under rated games of last year. It was just ridiculous amounts of fun. Essentially you were Sauron's replacement and it was up to you to seek out each of the heroes who had slain your predecessor and inflict horrible death on them using your army of shrieking, lunatic gremlins.
Some details of Overlord 2 have dripped through and they sound delightful.
The sequel is obviosuly bigger and more feature packed than the last one, more monsters and minions to kill and enslave. One interesting new feature is an increase in the number of available mistresses; in the last game you only captured one of two sisters to become your lady fair. That wasn't evil enough apparently and in Overlord 2 you get to assemble a whole harem of kidnapped maidens. You also play as the son of the previous Overlord this time, begginning life as a bad tempered child, possibly rebelling as a teenager and joining the local Paladin chapter, then rediscovering your roots and returning to life as a full time evil overlord.

But that's only the begginning of your path to evil. Apparenty feedback to the developers complained that the original Overlord had two many options that were either good or evil. Players wanted the choice of evil or completely monstrous. So now the options are between Destruction Tyranny and Domination Tyranny. If you follow the path of Destruction as you conquer the land you slaughter everyone and burn down every thing you come across, becoming a rampaging demon of fear.
If you'd prefer to have subjects to crush under your boot heel and put to work in your mines you can choose the domination route and turn the local country side into your personal empire. The game features an all new story written again by Rhianna Pratchett (daughter of Terry Pratchett creator of the Discworld series) and other new features include champion minions which can be named and plenty of new environments including a Roman styled civilisation that obviosuly needs to be brought down.
Aside from a few technical issues Overlord was fantastic. I think I've found a new anticopatometer game. The game is due out sometime in the middle of the year for the usual suspects; 360, PS3 and PC.
