Finally. Ever since Crysis blew my mind with incredibly detailed textures, destructible environments and kick-ass lighting I've been dreaming of not having to tweak the settings on my PC to get the game to actually run. Crytek, developers of Far Cry and the aforementioned Crysis have just presented a tech demo to IGN for their multi-platform melting cryENGINE 3. And it's melting my face like a John Frusciante guitar solo.

Though there hasn't been an official announcement for games that will use cryENGINE3, the tech demo does feature the nano-suit clad characters from Crysis and does a fantastic job of getting my already over-hyped brain to jump like a jack-rabbit to conclusions. Killzone 2, Gears of War 2, Heavy Rain... gee the current generation of gamers are a spoilt lot, aren't we!?
