Update: Bethesda have re-released Fallout 3 The Pitt on Live and this time its the right version. Early adopters will need to go into their Xbox 360 memory and delete the pack before downloading it again.
Looking forward to Fallout 3 The Pitt? You betcha! Questions will be answered such as, why are there so many slavers but so few slaves? Where do they all go? Who is behind all this evil? What the hell is an auto axe and will it cut cans? Well I managed to get a few answers, before the game crashed. So I loaded it up and it crashed again.
Then I realised those floating red boxes with question marks in them weren't part of the scenery, they were some kind of markers for developers. Well it seems some one at Bethesda will be fired today for this little fubar (ask your mother) because the copy of The Pitt that popped up for download late Tuesday night was NOT the version that was meant to be distributed. It's been pulled from Live just now but if you downloaded it and expected to play it today don't bother.
Bethesda plan on having a new version up and available 'soon'. No word yet on what poor eager saps like me who downloaded the corrupt version straight away are supposed to do in the mean time though.
