New supposed screen shots have been leaked onto Flickr for the upcoming PS3 exclusive M.A.G or Massive Action Game. The game that has already won an award from me as the worst title for a game ever was revealed at last year's E3 with a CG trailer. Limited information about the game is know at this stage, most importantly is that it will support up to 256 players simultaneously online. To avoid chaos that seems to follow larger type team deathmatch games people will be split into squads of 8 with specific objectives to be completed.

Sony and the developer Zipper Interactive, of SOCOM: US Navy SEALS fame, have been quiet since the original announcement. With only one screenshot being released late last year as a teaser, since then nothing else has been released and Sony seems to be tight lipped about the project. What is a little out of character for Zipper Interactive is that this is will be a FPS and not a TPS, but given their flawless track record my anticopatometer tingled when I seen these screens.

Surprisingly the game still looks good given its MASSIVE, 256 player online count. All FPS's of late have had to have some sort of leveling up or ranking system thanks to Call of Duty 4's addicting nature, and M.A.G. is no exception. What isnt so common, but seems so be heading this way, is a class system which includes classes such as Medics Commandos, and Field demolition.

The game has been hinted to be out by the end of this year; let’s hope Zipper can deliver on their promises and that Sony learnt their online lessons with the bad launch of SOCOM: Confrontation.
Head to Flickr for more screens.
