Oh mama. I am excited. Very excited, all three of my nipples are tingling with the thrill of the video I have just watched. What could have caused such a mammary focused reaction you might ask?

Hows about the first gameplay footage of Bioshock 2, the sequel to what is definitely one of my favourite games of all time. I even made my mother play this game and she's afraid of video games in general. Read on for the rundown.

The video shows you, as a Big Daddy complete with hand mounted drill and pounding diver suit foot steps, stacking a Big Sister, the spindly needle wielding characters seen on Game Informer cover which you can review or see for the first time here.

The setting is Rapture, albeit a section not familiar to someone who has played it multiple times. The Big Sister is extremely agile and following her, let alone shooting her, is nearly impossible. When you finally corner the crazy biatch she smashes the glass and the room floods with water, but the gameplay doesn't stop, hell you're a Big Daddy now, you live in a diving suit. The action switches to another scene where you watch as your Big Daddy character rips apart a gang of splicers. You actually have vents in the glove of your suit so you can still use your plasmid powers to throw flame and electricity at your enemies.

The debut video does a lot to get me more excited for the game. Unfortunately it doesn't show any new environments outside of Rapture (assuming there actually are some) and the gamplay it showed looks very similar to the original game. But it was pretty exciting seeing the game play continue after the room had been flooded.

Bioshock 2 is slated for a release later this year.
