Thats a pretty damn nice cover, Ezio bares more than a passing resemblance to Altair it should be said. Personally I was hoping for a whole new look but it appears Ubisoft have only evolved the threads to match the time period.
As for details, read on:
- As rumoured a few months ago you will now be able to swim which is very good news. Drowning felt kind of embarassing in the last game.
- Your range of weapons has been increased, with new armaments including two swords, two "smaller blades", a mace, spear and an axe. No mention of ranged weapons, either the crossbow seen in the original AC trailer or the throwing knives that made it into the game.
- Da Vinci's workshop features in the game (it's set in 1476), and you can fly on the Da Vinci wings (which incidentally the sketches of inspired Bob Kane to create Batman).
- Again the game stars real people of the period, including Machiavelli and Florence's powerful Medici family.
- There are now "16 unique mission types" over the original five and pickpocket and eavesdropping have both been dropped as missions.
- Tracking down hidden flags will now net you in-game rewards, rather than a simple sense of self-satisfaction.
