I loath the TV show Friends and just about everyone attributed with it. I viewed it as a magical fantasy world promoted to children as what real life would be like when they leave home and earned enough money as a barrista to live in a New York Apartment you could spin around in without hitting your hands on the walls. The characters lead lives just a little less fantasy based than Xena: Warrior Princess.

Unfortunately my wife liked the show, in particularly pill popping, car crashing, single character portraying celebrity Mathew Perry. As a result of her enjoyment of this… person, I’ve had to watch such movies as… that one where he was pretending to be gay or… that one where he knocked up Salma Hayek. IMDB might prove me wrong but I think that’s all he’s done.

But I am now grudgingly forced to change my attitude, something we Irish find very hard to do, and admit that he might be an okay guy. You see, recently, on another awful television show called The View, Perry admitted that he played Fallout 3, a lot, so much so in fact that he had to see a doctor for carpal tunnel syndrome. He even tells host Elizabeth Hasselbeck to shut her pie hole and that she has no idea what she’s talking about when she tries to sound him out about playing kids video games (Just for reference Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s only other claim to fame is coming fourth on a late series of Survivor).

So in summary I have to admit that Perry is kind of okay and one day at some wild celebrity cocaine fuelled party if I see him I know we can talk about Nuka Cola and Deathclaws and that makes me happy.

Many other game news sites have posted the video from The View for people to actually see Perry say ‘I play Fallout 3’ but because I care about my readers I’m not posting it. Trust me, it’s better this way. Look for it on You Tube if you like.
