Yes, aarrgh, the Witcher might not make it to consoles now after all. Witcher Rise of the White Wolf was to bring the PC RPG hit featuring an Albino warrior killing magical creatures to the PS3 and the Xbox 360. I was excited, you were excited we were all excited.

But now we are concerned.

To be honest, there isn’t that much to be concerned about. A post on a Polish game site and a few buried threads on message boards doth not a conspiracy make. What really got things hopping was PR and Community Manager on The Witcher forums Eriash stating in response to the rumour: “We will comment on this in official release soon”.

Well that’s not the positive and refreshing glass of cold water in the face this rumour needed; not at all.

The Witcher Rise of the White Wolf had all the hallmarks of a successful fantasy RPG franchise in the making for consoles. Something we’ve seen little of other than Oblivion and Fable. So enjoy the attached screenshots, for they may be all you ever see!

…of course you could just get the PC game which is available right now.
