A new map pack has been announced for Killzone 2 (yes I know we are still playing the first one). The map pack, called Flash and Thunder, contains two maps from the original Killzone on the PS2.

The 2 maps that will be re-made are Beach Head and The Southern Hills, as a major fan of the original Killzone I think its fair to say these will be really good maps for Killzone 2. The Beach Head Map consists of the ISA defending a coastal stronghold against a Helghast landing force. Southern Hills on the other hand has the ISA attacking a Helghast compound on top of a hill.

The original was really over hyped before release, and was a failure of its own hype yet it was still a good game. The only problem was the frame rate but the multiplayer was GREAT, I spend countless hours playing it. I hope they do this for a few more maps from the original Killzone, there are a few gems.

Expect the Map pack around June 12^th, since America gets the pack June 11^th. It will be priced the same as the First map pack at $9.95. Is this too soon?
