The long rumoured PSP Go! was finally and officially shown off at Sony's E3 Press conference.

The PSP Go! will get rid of the UMD drive from the PSP 3000, for storage it will use its inbuilt 16GB Flash Memory with a Memory Stick Micro expansion slot so you can store even more games music and movies. This is the first time a gaming handheld has gone fully digital distribution, that's if you don't count the iphone/itouch as a gaming handheld.

Older PSP owners don't fret though, the PSP 3000 will be sold alongside the PSP Go! and UMD will still be available at retail. But my prediction on the podcast was wrong; the PSP Go! will actually be sold as the premium product over the current PSP.

The PSP Go! has a 3.8 inch screen, while smaller than before the entire PSP is smaller than before as well. If you think the current PSP is too heavy your in luck the PSP Go! Is 43% lighter. But since it's only a new design and not a PSP 2 it still has the single analogue nub unfortunately.

Other, luckier, websites have had hands on with the PSP Go! on the E3 showroom floor. Opinion has been divided between if the device is comfortable or not, but I think this is something that you need to get hands on with. Is it wrong I want a PSP now?
