I’ve long had a special connection with The Beatles. Courtesy of my baby booming parents I knew the words to plenty of Beatles songs before I even knew who or what The Beatles were.

Also my kitten blood drinking brother (we don’t get along, I like kittens) was born the same day John Lennon was shot which for me forever marks the 8 December 1980 as the darkest day in history.

Am I excited about Rockband: The Beatles? You bet your ass I am. Am I immediately furious at the leaked track list you can read after the jump? You can, again, gamble with your gluteus.

The first thing I thought was “No Maxwell’s Silver Hammer, sure it’s not a single but it’s the first Beatles song I remember hearing”. This was followed by my second thought, “How the Frak can they have Octopus's Garden instead of Yellow Submarine?!”.

Then just before I blacked out I thought, “Dig a Pony over Hey Jude or Strawberry Fields…?”.

When I came too I was on my back in a puddle of vodka, covered in broken LPs.

Of course this is only a leaked list and not the final list and of course all the missing titles will be available on DLC within nanoseconds of the official release.

But seriously, no Yellow Submarine? Don’t they understand? We all live in one!
