All right, here’s a good reason to own a PSP if you’ve been tardy in picking one up all ready. Upcoming 2D fight game BlazBlue on the PS3 will support Remote Play.
So you can play the game of your PS3 from any where as long as you have wireless internet connection to your PSP (and a PSN linked PS3 obviously).
For instance, can’t get your wife/girlfriend/life partner to stop watching their favourite modelling/fashion based reality show long enough to get a game in on the PS3. Well you can just go to your bedroom and have a sulk (make sure to slam the door behind you). Then grab your PSP and connect to the PS3 and fire that puppy up then load up BlazBlue and play it right there on your PSP screen. You can also use the Remote Play feature for music, videos, PS1 games and a few other very select PS3 games (none good though). In fact the only thing the feature can't be used for is PS2 games for those earky adopter peeps who got backwards compatible PS3's. I was saving my pennies up for one of those $40 PS3 Bluray remotes after admiring a friends but I think I'll use my PSP in the mean time.
Remote play is a handy feature of the PSP and its good to see more games supporting it. BlazBlue goes on sale in the US next week, hopefully a PAL version release isn’t far behind. |
