Just a few of your as yet unnamed playable heroes

They just don't make siege engines the way they used too

Puts 'keep of my lawn' to a new level

Keep in mind these are in game shots, damn sweet in game shots

The girl on the horse looks a bit too calm, if it was me I'd be hoping I was riding a brown horse

Cannons and muskets? The tech of the KUF universe has evolved since the last game
There, did you see that? With flintlock rifles and ogres and the armies and I am so happy in my pants right now. The Kingdom Under Fire games on the Xbox where some of the best strategy games available and by far the best strategy game on the Xbox, by a country mile, which for some reason is longer than a normal one.
If you’re not familiar with the world it’s basically humans (with occasional grudging help from elves) versus every other bad fantasy race you can imagine, orcs, ogres, trolls, rat people, dragons, the works, all ruled over by an assortment of vampries and dark elves. The Kingdom Under Fire world was never that cut and dried through. The humans were frequently religious fanatics and genocidal bastards intent on wiping out all other races so it was often hard to tell the good guys from the bad.
But they were great games, combining RTS style army management with hack and slash gameplay. In fact the worst thing about Kingdom Under Fire was that it was really damn hard and if you outfitted your army the wrong way you were just screwed and often had to employ a bit of trial and error and replay levels numerous times.
If you like any combination fantasy, hack and slash or strategy games you will most likely love Kingdom Under Fire 2, now we just need to wait until late 2010 for this game to release for the PC and Xbox 360… Damn it. |
