As some of you know Uncharted 2 is my most anticipated game for this year, the first one being a fantastic single player experience and the multiplayer Beta just got me extra excited. Well now we have a release date to go on and some shiny new box art, although that may just be North American.

October 23; that’s the date we in Australia (actually it’s a European date and I'm just assuming it will be the same here) will be able to get our hands on Nathan Drakes new adventure. The Us release is the 13th so once again we have to wait for the Americans. I for one cant wait though, this game looks like it will be able to top Killzone 2 as the best looking game this Generation, closely followed by Gears 2, MGS4, Uncharted and Resident Evil 5, and just looks to have the same blend of story telling, plat forming and awesome action that the first game had.

I for one am glad the game is releasing in October instead of the rumoured November. It will give itself some breathing room from the sales juggernaut that will be Modern Warfare 2. If there is one game this holiday season that has a chance for Sony to show they can sell a lot of units fast it is this one. If you own a Playstation 3 and haven’t played the first game I suggest you go and do it, it was a spare change game after all.
