I’m having an itch to dig into some games of yesteryear lately and GTA IV is pretty close to topping that list. Good news for 360 owning fans of the game today too seems the next GTA Episode of DLC, The Ballad of Gay Tony, will be available to download from October 29.
But there’s some even better news for late adopters.
Rather than paying 1600 MS points for Ballad of Gay Tony you can also pay twice the price for a disc tentatively titled GTA IV Episodes which has on it both The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. A bargain for late adopters but a bit of a bummer for eager GTA fans like me who would have liked Lost and Damned on a disc as well.
This does raise the point of censorship, again, as Lost and Damned actually included all the nasty stuff the OFLC took out for the GTA IV release such as the graphic naughty stuff with ladies animations and extra blood spray. Will the disc release of Lost and Damned be similarly neutered I wonder?
The Ballad of Gay Tony see’s you playing as Luis Fernando Lopez, bodyguard and bad ass for the Ancelloti family and night club owner Gay Tony. Just in case you were wondering Luis is heterosexual so don’t hold out for the same sex dating mini game. If you check out Luis’s page on GTA wiki it seems he’s quite the tough guy, responsible for taking out several of Johnny’s brothers from the Lost during the museum diamond shoot out and slipping through your fingers when you played as Nico as well. It also mentions that he is rumoured to be involved in underground fight clubs which might mean a bit of an emphasis on melee combat in the expansion.
October’s looking like a rosy month for gaming. Incidentally I have no idea who the woman in the first wallpaper revealed above is, given this is a GTA game its a safe assumption she's probably transexual. |
