I feel I owe it to DJ Hero to cover the game properly after my little dig at DJ Jazzy Jeff earlier this week. DJ Hero is the latest 'Hero' style game to come out of Activision's money-making think-tank and is less Viper Room and more Studio 54.
Both the standard turntable and the recently announced Renegade Edition are actually quite appealing looking units. Obviously the special edition Renegade version that comes with bonux Jay-Z and Eminem tracks looks a little more bespoke and is trimmed with gold knobs and matte black finish.
Start the party with the DJ Hero™ Renegade Edition Featuring JAY-Z and EMINEM. In addition to the DJ Hero game, the Renegade Edition includes a premium Renegade turntable controller, hardshell turntable carrying case that converts to a performance-ready DJ stand, and an exclusive JAY-Z and EMINEM 2-CD pack featuring unreleased tracks.
With a swag of popular beats by the likes of Fitty Cent, Gwen Stefani and the Beastie Boys, DJ Hero is that it's the perfect party game in that it doesn't take people away from the party. DJ Hero has the potential to replace the ipod or CD collection and be the main source of music at a party.
So now after you've had a skinful of Corona and you feel like it would rad to mix My Heart Will Go On with Sabotage, you can. Or at least... you can when they release the Celine Dione song pack for $16 bucks. |
