With Shadow Complex dominating the download game scene on Xbox Live this week (as well it should, over fawning review coming shortly) a demo for the coop gameplay for Lost Planet 2 got dropped with barely anyone giving it a passing mention. It's worth checking out but don't expect a long relaxed afternoon of Akrid shooting, the demo can be knocked of in about 5 minutes.

It's the same demo you've probably seen in videos and screenshots previously with up to four players over online coop tackling a large spiked alien. Just one of the many ways you can defeat him is to leap into his cavernous mouth and shoot up his insides before escaping out his backside. The other than the giant alien fighting coop play we don't get access to any other goodies from the sequel, all the weapons and VR suits (the mech like vehicles of Lost Planet) are the same as the basic equipment in the original Lost Planet.

Even though you can knock it over in a few minutes, setting new records for demo thriftiness, it's a quick bit of fun to give you a taster of the final game.
