So you liked the PS2 and the major game franchises it spawned? It seems Sony noticed. One of the Sony's best original IP’s is going to be reworked for the PS3. Can you guess what one it’s going to be? That’s right - God of War. Sony Announced that God of War and God of War II are going to receive a slight graphics upgrade and a faster frame rate than the PS2 versions.
By slight graphics upgrade I mean the game will run at 1280 x 720p and will inherit a silky smooth framrate of 60 frames per second, just so the game looks good on that nice big HD TV you have hung on your wall. Both games will be released on a single Blu-Ray disk under the title of “God of War Collection.”
I'm not complaining but where is Chains of Olympus in this is a collection?
Unfortunately I just bought both God of War games for the PS2, but I still think I will wait for this. Why? Trophies will be implemented into the games as well! They have announced a US price of 40 dollars, so if it makes it to Australia expect to pay around 80 dollars at EB games and cheaper everywhere else.
This will be the debut of Kratos on the PS3 as it will be released this holiday season, months before God of War III. Count me in, now if they would just do this for the entire MGS Series I would be happy. |
