My Friends, I'm Slightly Worried

This is something that I have wanted to get off my chest since E3 and it has been building slowly as more footage has been released. Of course I'm talking about Modern Warfare 2; no one seems to be talking about anything besides it at this stage. As a major fan of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare I'm worries about Modern Warfare 2 and even more worried that with the massive amount of hype around this game that nothing negative has been said about it so far, well until now.

From the videos that have been released of the single player and multiplayer so far it seems they are just going over the top. I mean why have they changed the points system so much? I mean why do you need 50 points for a Kill over 10 points? Or 300 points for taking revenge? Call me simple if you want but I prefer the scoring system to be simple and you can concentrate on playing the game instead of exploiting the points system.

On top of that, what is with all the hints to selectable kill streak rewards? And it seems there are a lot of them at that. With so many of them I can tell they will be stretching for some good ones. Just like a new perk that was shown off in the latest multiplayer trailer, Knife Throwing. Yes you will have the ability to throw a knife to, instantly, kill an enemy. Ill admit that it might be cool for a few times like it was back in the golden eye days but is it really practical? “Hmm I have this nice gun here but I'm going to kill this guy with a knife from 10 meters away”

Why was no one mentioning the lamest part of the single player demo shown at Microsoft’s E3 conference? The snow mobile chase just looked lame to me; Modern Warfare didn’t have such a try hard move in the entire campaign. So did the wall climbing, is that really needed? They look like a scene out of a bad 007 movie. Even though the shooting and the action looked good in between but it just scares me that the parts they chose to show off are these try hard parts that if they were shown by any other developer the game would be condemned.

Sorry if I sound too negative but I really want this to be great; I know it will be good. Think I'm crazy if you want, I sometimes consider my sanity myself, but if on the 10th of November you are slightly disappointed after the masterpiece that is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare think of this article and remember that I called it. Feel free to comment below or in the forums and tell me how crazy I am.
