I've been a bit slack with my Spare Change? articles, I have two in the pipe I'll load in the next two weeks, but if you want value for money how about one of the best games of 2008 for the total price of absolutely nothing? Okay, one fifth of the game, but still, this is a bargain!
Fable 2 was brilliant, earning many Game of the Year awards across many websites, and if you missed out on it the first time round I have some good news for you. Microsoft and Lionhead are rereleasing the game in episodic content and the first taste is free. So long as you have a Golde Membership Xbox Live account, a broadband internet connection and enough space on your hard drive you can download the first of five parts of Fable 2 to try out and you can even play online with friends who have the full game.
According to Microsofts Press release players who decide to buy the rest of the episodes or even pick up the full game after a foray into the first game episode will find their saved progress, character profile, and items from the first episode will be transferred seamlessly as they continue their journey. There's also a Game of the Year edition for retail that has the expansions Knothole Island and See The Future included.
If you need further convincing check out our glowing review for Fable 2 and then get ye to the downloads page!
