Remember how Left 4 Dead 2 was banned in Australia? If you remember that, do you remember the censored version that Valve said they would only use if they couldn't get the uncensored version through the OFLC? Well that version is officially the version we are going to get according to this Media Release found here. To officially quote the document

"A three-member panel of the Classification Review Board has unanimously determined that the computer game Left 4 Dead 2 is classified RC (Refused Classification)."

Major bummer! The russling of the pitchforks and fire torches is getting louder but before you start to attack the OFLC, there is an upside to the story.

The UK is still getting the uncensored (Gore in tact) version. Now I can hear the out cry of how does that help us? Well the UK is a PAL region and you should be able to play the Xbox 360 version on your Australian Xbox 360. So importing a cheaper, un-edited version of a game we could have bought in Australia seems to be what the OFLC wants us to do. Who are we to argue?

OK commence your attacking, I think electronic methods such as email and phone calls would be more appropriate than Pitchforks.
