Being the only gamer it in the world, it seems, that hasn’t bought Modern Warfare 2 I have been immune to the complaints of this game and what seems to be an emerging bitch fight between Modern Warfare 2 developers Infinity Ward and Battlefield Developers DICE.

Remember when the internet exploded when Robert Bowling from Infinity Ward announced that Modern Warfare for the PC wouldn’t have support for dedicated servers and rely on P2P matchmaking via IW net. Well DICE, developers of the upcoming Battlefield Bad Company 2 said a few things to ruffle a few feathers.

Dedicated servers FTW. What ever secures a better online experience is a given for us”

That may be directed at anyone upset with Modern Warfare 2’s lack of dedicated servers since that was tweeted by the Executive Producer of the Battlefield franchise K.M. Troedsson, a day after Robert Bowling announcement. Later in an interview with Kotaku he had this to say about the subject

I can say is that we’ve always considered this a key factor to deliver the best online experience available and anyone caring equally much about this will probably get more out of the multiplayer experience in Battlefield: Bad Company 2”

“Well, obviously I believe Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is better, especially looking at how our game incorporates an all-out war experience with vehicles, destruction, etc,”

“But not without a large amount of respect for our competitor, they have a great product with a huge fan base. Don’t expect us to be intimidated by sheer volume of sales though.”

Those sound like some fighting words, but with their last few trailers it seems they have a game good enough to back that up. Have a look below and tell me that it doesn’t look good, I dare you!

Oh and don’t forget to read that letter below the two trailers. It was posted on the Battlefield Bad Company blog. Fairly humorous if you ask me.
