Along with all the other inferior announcements at the Spike Video Game Awards show, we were finally gifted with the first cinematic trailer for Halo: Reach. The true sequel (or prequel actually) to Halo 3, no disrespect intended to ODST. Halo Reach has been in development since the completion of Halo 3, sticking to Bungie's usual three year cycle for game production. It's a character heavy trailer introducing us to Noble One, the team of Spartans who will be our playable heros when Halo: Reach is released. It's all cinematic so no gameplay, but it's still ticklishly exciting for us Halo fanpeople. Halo: Reach looks to make Spartan's the number one game badasses again in 2010, take that ya ham acting Gears. In keeping with previous Bungie trailers the official Bungie version has a few scant extra seconds of footage
If you want some background to the games plot it's strongly recommended you grab a copy of The Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund. Considered to be one of the best of the Halo novels, chronicling the demise of the majority of the Spartan troop population at the hands of a massive Covenant assault.
