A little while ago it was announced that Assassins Creed II was getting 2 lots of DLC, with only basic details such as each will be about 1 Gb each. Well now it’s a bit more interesting since we have the details on each piece of DLC coming.
The first titled The Battle of Forli will come late January for $3.99 US on the Playstation 3 (No mention of XBLA pricing), and will feature Machiavelli and Caterina Sforza fighting alongside Ezio to defend against the Orsi brothers. It will contain six new memories (or missions), including one with the flying machine which was only used once in the main game. This revolves around keeping Piece of Eden away from the Templars.
Bonfire of the Vanities is due around a month later in February, for $4.99 US. This opens up the area of Florence that is inaccessible in the main game, and contains (Assassins Creed II versions of) historical events regarding the monk Savonarola. Through ten new missions you (Ezio) will be Assassinating members of his entourage and most probably Savonarola, since that is what Assassins Creed is all about. He will be accompanied by a brand new spring-jump move, I wonder if that is a further nod to the red plumber after the hilarious one found in the main game.
Do I want more Assassins Creed II? Yes please! Oh a quick note to the people who think this should have been completed in the main game, I personally think that if these were in the main game it would have dragged on too long and really you can’t complain about the price. It seems Ubisoft gets us gamers; some times.
