We don’t get Game Informer in Australia, or at least I’ve never seen it on the shelves, which is a hairy shame as it looks to me like the most reputable of the remaining print game magazines and one I’d likely pick up on a monthly basis. They also seem to be the go to place for exclusive information on upcoming mega titles and the starting point for many a hype train.

So it is with Halo: Reach, a game miles of and not appearing on any non fanboy radars. Until of course it graces Game Informer with the amazing wrap around cover image above.

The issue itself has a whole bunch of info on the upcoming shooter straight from Bungie’s mouth to your eyes. The game will have many call backs to Halo: Combat Evolved with a return of the shield system for your Spartans and Brute weaponry removed from the game.

Apparently the Bungie engine, a point of complaint in many ODST reviews, has been given an overhaul with an improvement in graphics and an increase in objects and enemies on screen providing us with the epic science fiction battles we deserve. This is the Fall of Reach after all, it’s supposed to be big loud and proud. Facial animations will also be, supposedly, the best seen in a game yet with the company behind the uncanny valley crossing ‘Emily’ clip behind them.

Game Informer has a Halo: Reach hub site which they'll update frequently with new details on the game that you can see here. Definitely worth bookmarking for the discerning Halo fanboy.
