Unless you've been religiously following internet comics over the last five years beyond Penny Arcade you are probably unfamiliar with Kit Ballard, star of science fiction comic strip Blade Kitten. It's a real breakfast cereal of a comic, all bright colours and overdosed with sugar. Kit and the other major categories are Felion (cat people capturing the important furry demographic) bounty hunters tracking down rogue cyborgs and mechs. The creator Steve Stamatiadis has been working for Australian based developer Krome for some time, particularly on the excellent but under appreciated Ty the Tasmanian Tiger game series which has always been a favourite in our house. Blade Kitten has been a slowly evolving and clearly much loved property for Steve and it's making the leap into video games later this year as a Playstation Network title.
