Epic are not only producing Gears of War 3, oh no. They are also producing a new IP Bulletstorm. It looks like a sweet combination of Gears of War and Unreal Tournament.

The game isn't actually being developed by Epic internal, People Can Fly. While they are a relatively unknown developer, you can hope that with Epic on their side that the technology side of the game will be solid.

An intergalactic revenge story about a drunken space pirate (not kidding) on a  paradise planet infested with mutants sounds a great fit for the screens below. The screens that actually have colour in an Unreal Engine game from the makers of Gears of War, you know, that really grey game?

What is really un Gears of War like, no co-op will be in the game according to the developer but online is promised in some form.

It seems it will be an arcade style FPS that rewards players for killing opponents creatively with the "Skillshot" system. This earns points that can be applied to Grayson Hunt, the drunken space pirate or to your weapons.

All in all it sounds like a lot of fun, Bulletstorm is coming on 360 and PS3.
