Yesssss!

Finally, after all the rumour and guessing and hoping. Confirmation! Both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, two of the best games every made, will be appearing on the PS3 next April in glorious HD. I get the feeling there was going to be a major announcement at the Tokyo Game Show, probably that this release would be timed to coincide with the release of the next Team ICO game, The Last Guardian, next year. Similar to the way God of War 1 & 2 were re-released along with the God of War 3 earlier this year. Fingers crossed you can pick up a Team ICO pack containing all three games next April.

The news was accidentally leaked by a Swedish online shop called Webhallen (note watermark). Walmart in the US had very briefly listed the product last week but the box art from Webhallen really seals the deal. My one complaint would be that the box art really sucks, it looks cheap, like one of those rubbishy compilation DVD's with three movies on it featuring the same actor (always two good movies and one crap one as well, why do they bother?).

If you haven't played either title before I can't recommend them enough, they're the games gamers recommend. If you have played them before then I know you're all ready chomping at the bit to get HD versions to replace you're well worn PS2 copies.
