Homefront is an invasion of the US story shooter coming in March of next year that offers a few interesting selling points. For a start its written by writer director John Milius whose credits include the script for Apocalypse Now and Red Dawn, it tells the story of a 2027 invasion of the US by the Korean army and unlike most war shooters the focus in Homefront is the single player game. At the end of the campaign players can extend the story through a series of episodic DLC releases that will be evenly spaced between the release of the first game and the planned release of the second game.
But the multiplayer isn't going to be neglected. Check out this amazing multiplayer trailer below:
That's a pretty damn cool trailer, you can tell the North Koreans are evil because they run over a teddy bear, those bastards!
Homefront is published by THQ and developed by Kaos Studios, the developers of the innovative but overlooked Frontlines: Fuel of War. Despite a pretty average to good critical reception and a small cult following Frontlines never quite got the love it deserved. Hopefully Homefront presents a better show case of Kaos Studios skills.
