In case you missed it, last year’s releases of Scribblenauts and its swift follow up Super Scribblenauts were bundles of creative fun. Using motorbikes, Large Hadron Colliders and vampires to solve physics puzzles was quirky, unique and enjoyable. Fifth Cell are following their innovative puzzle game with a third person shooter.
It’s like Xavier Rudd forming a John Farnham tribute band.
Okay, by way of explanation, the game in question Hybrid sounds like a really, really interesting shooter game. It’s going to be released later in the year over Xbox Live and it’s pretty much a multiplayer shooter with the Paladin (blue guys) battling the Hybrid (red guys). The two key features of the game are a persistent online war campaign, so each match you play and win gains ground for your chosen faction in a larger campaign, and something called ‘combat movement’ which I presume will be a button that has your guy do some cool parkour shit mid gun blast.
Also it looks very cool, which you can clearly see from the trailer and screenshots below. Xbox Live had a few released last year that easily stood over full priced retail games so the capacity is there for Hybrid to be a quality title. More information as it becomes available.
