If you haven’t downloaded the mysterious Capcom game announcement on Xbox Live go watch it right now, or better yet, while you’re in front of the computer click straight through to the film here. Wasn’t it great! The original Lost Planet which debuted on the Xbox 360 to okay reviews and then had similarly quiet release on the PS3 was buckets of fun. Giant alien bugs, crazy weapons, mechs with chainsaw hands, rapel ropes you could use any where. All these things added up to fun. It even had a pretty decent multiplayer mode which still has a lot of people playing it (mostly in Japan, don’t bother with the headset if you give it a try unless you speak the language). Lost Planet 2 aims to up the fun factor with coop for the single player campaign, which is fantastic news. It’s the type of game that quickly goes from okay to awesome with a few friends thrown in. If you haven’t played the original Lost Planet it’s a good spare change pick up for either console. Or if you’re REALLY stingy you can get it for next to nothing on Steam for the PC. In case you weren’t totally sold on the game yet try this: one of the mechs transforms into a motorbike. Totally fully mintox. |
