I had meant to include this as the Big Story on the Tuesday Cap last week for its combination of a super creepy Resident Evil game trailer and what’s essentially a Capcom snuff film featuring a girl in a wet suit that looks like Shakira.

For perspective here’s the first Resident Evil Revelations trailer featuring a ridiculous looking protagonist. Creepy follow up snuff film trailer after the break.

So you get the gist, Shakira has a wetsuit that doesn't fit properly and is invesitgating a cruise ship with lots of gooey monsters with hedgehog hands chasing her and it's scary and then suddenly Jill Valentine.

People got a little upset that big boob silly hair woman might be a major character. So Capcom released the following video...

... as if to say, 'hey, don't worry about Shakira. She totally get's mercilessly and brutally killed by the gooey big hand monsters and here's how it goes down in a manner that's more than a little creepy and voyeuristic. Cause we know you love watching terrified women get hunted down and killed'.

Yeeeeeah, it's kinda like the Resident Evil developers went to the video store and watched Rob Zombie and Eli Roth movies to get a horror vibe, in the same way the early games drew so much inspiration from the likes of George Romero and John Carpenter.

Still, as horrid as these trailers are, I can't deny Resident Evil seems to be the main reason to pick up a Nintendo 3DS, which I'll be doing before February ahead of the games release.
