Now I know that the ps3 controller isn't perfect, no controller is. But there is a design fault in the controller that always seems to get a lot of, warranted, attention. I think that we all know that I'm talking about the L2 and R2 triggers and their concave design. Well you will be glad to know I have found a solution that is cheap and easy. How good is that?
If you have ever played a PS3 game for over a few hours at a time you can realise that the triggers become very slippery and it can get to the point you start to wish the triggers had a shape that was more like the 360 controller. Well you will be glad to know the Geoteck "Real Triggers" turns the concave shape of the controllers triggers into a convex shape. I must say after purchasing a set for my controller it felt a lot more natural and comfortable on those long gaming sessions; racing games in particular the improvement was huge. Slippage is a non issue for me anymore and while the controller at first felt strange, after around twenty minuets you wont want to go back to your old triggers.

The real triggers just clip over the top of the existing triggers, so for the technically inept out there don't worry, no controller modifications are required. I must also say that on thing that entered my head was "The first thing that will happen is that they will pop off the first time I touch them." As I found out the actual chance of them slipping off is slim to none; they are clipped on tightly. To the best of my knowledge these are currently only available from online retailers and eBay but they are cheap. If someone offered to fix the biggest problem with your controller would you for less than ten dollars? If you answered yes then quickly buy a set of these and you can game much happier, like me. |
