7 Aussie Movie Licenses That I Would Rather Play

We all know how bad games are when they’re based on movies. They’re terrible. Nobody is denying that. Despite this, the publishers of these pathetic attempts at videogame enjoyment try to make us believe that their version of a game based on a movie is going to break the stereotypes and actually be worth playing. The latest example of this is the new James Bond game, Quantum of Solace. “The next Goldeneye” has been pandered around quite a bit, even on this very website. I’m not saying it won’t be, but history is keeping me from getting my hopes up.

While watching movies with my girlfriend, I will often blurt out, “This would make such a good game.” , spraying crumbs of Maltezers out of my mouth in the process. Most of the time these movies are not your typical action-packed films that could easily be re-imagined for my Playstation 3. Romantic comedies, or ‘rom-coms’ as I like to call them get the treatment from my imaginative mind, as do serious dramas and teen coming-of-age films. Below is a list of Australian classics that I would rather play than most, if not all, the Hollywood movies that have had their names slapped on a videogame box.
