ive had this game sitting in my collection for almost 2 years and only just started playing it after it took 1 whole day to update. its fair to say that im a bit late on it.

my question is "has anyone played this game?" and if so "can you play it on your own or do you have to form a fellowship?".

im only really early into it and i have encounted some difficult areas. my character onto sometimes three or four enimies. two enimies i can handle but three or four and im in trouble.

Mate, I started a LOTR game AGES ago. More than likely the first one, or the second after the movies, but that fucker was HARD. About the only game I've ever given up on that was just TOO difficult for the enjoyment.

this is a MMO so i think i will have to make buddies

See even free isnt enough to get people to play.

its not a bad game as RPGs go. it would just be better if you could play it as a single player game and not need to form a group to complete. its still recieving updates and new quests and the like so there must be a heap of people playing it still. there in the process of making new servers for it also.

I played it ages ago when I had a free month and a PC, it was pretty good, basically Warcraft with LoTR paint job.

If it was out for the Mac I'd def be taking advantage of the fact its free.
