Firefall Looks Like a Game Changing MMO

Firefall1

So you don't like MMO's, I know I know. Waste of time, money/time drain, boring number crunching, yap yap yap. You tried WoW, you didn't like it so you've written off MMO's because lets face it, every other MMO is two steps removed from the WoW formula.

But what about a different kind of MMO, what about one with fast paced shooting action, alien worlds, jet packs, space ships, alien bugs. What about an MMO that didn't look like any MMO you have ever seen before. Something that, no matter how many socks you tug on, it blows them all off and clips your toe nails into the bargain.

Behold non believer: FireFall.

Just Watch This Infamous 2 Trailer

Written by Sam Lawrence | Sunday, 05 September 2010 10:29

Infamous_2-1

So I kinda, sorta, really liked Infamous. So then naturally I would be kinda, sorta, really excited about Infamous 2. If you figured that out, give yourself a star, but you would be wrong. This is the game I am most looking forward to, besides the inevitable Uncharted 2, after watching the trailer below.

Just watch it, then look at the screens. It should speak for itself; if not, you are obviously crazier than I am.

Duke Nukem Forever May Actually Be Coming Out!

Duke-Nukem-Forever-1536

"It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of gum."

I haven't gone crazy, but this may be the cause for the crazy amounts of rain South Australia has been getting. Duke Nukem Forever is actually going to come out. There is a good reason it is coming out, a brilliant developer has taken the duty to release the game after the closure of 3D Realms. That developer is Gearbox Software, the people that made the brilliant Borderlands.

Rockstar Brings Us Liars, Cheats and Zombies

Written by Aaron Mitchell | Tuesday, 31 August 2010 19:49

RDRLiars1

When it comes to Red Dead Redemption we were pretty spoilt for riches to begin with. The fact Rockstar have been going overboard with the expansion packs is like even more delicious icing on top of some pretty damn delicious icing liberally smeared over a scrumptious cake.

So at this rate we're probably all going to get the cowboy video game equivalent of diabetes.

Pirates Versus Second Hand Consumers

Written by Aaron Mitchell | Wednesday, 25 August 2010 01:47

piratebattle

Put this logic through your brain for a minute. Pirating games is completely illegal and receiving or passing on pirated goods, even if no money is exchanged, will net you a fine in the hefty thousands of dollars. Word has apparently crossed into the mainstream media that Microsoft's flagship holiday title Halo: Reach has been leaked into the public realm and will probably be available to people who don't mind having their Live account permabanned. But, and this is the constant face slap to all the arguments against piracy, the type of person to go to the trouble of obtaining the hardware modifications and software to play the game were very unlikely to purchase a copy of Halo: Reach anyway, effectively no money is lost.

But what if someone buys a second hand copy from EB Games or JB HiFi the day after it's released?

Here's the latest Fable 3 screens out of Gamescon 2010. They look pretty sharp, much cleaner than the last game.

And... oddly fabulous.

Resistance 3 Announced With Bob Dylan

Written by Aaron Mitchell | Thursday, 19 August 2010 00:23

resistance3

This early tease out of Gamescon 2010 of Resistance 3 instantly becomes the greatest game teaser trailer this year with its inclusion of Bob Dylan classic Masters of War playing in the background. It's an eerie, subtle trailer and better than most movie trailers you've seen this year. No gameplay, but all live action footage that sets the scene and the vibe of Resistance 3.

The aliens have taken New York and the future of the US, and the rest of the human race, isn't looking super good right now.

Batman: Arkham City Lets Slip a Few Details

Written by Aaron Mitchell | Friday, 13 August 2010 23:36

batmanarkhamcitylogo

While the most recent Batman game had its detractors it’s fans were in the vast majority. Many, including me, hailed it as being the best comic book super hero game ever made. It did what so many games before it had failed to do, captured all the disparate elements of the Batman character. The scientific detective, the gadget crazy ninja and the face punching vigilante, each of the characters elements got a fair play in the game.

News of a sequel isn’t the latest, we all knew it was coming. But now a few details have slipped the net. Read them in itemised format below.
